Established in 2007, Silverscreen Trading is run by Brian Welman and Mark Bennett and is based in Honeydew, Johannesburg.

With our intimate understanding of the Southern African marketplace and our well-established relations with all major retailers, Silverscreen Trading is able to effectively market a wide variety of lifestyle and entertainment products.

Brian Welman – Managing Director
Brian has a wealth of experience in the music and entertainment industry. He started Mega Vox Music in 1992 which grew to five stores in as many years, establishing itself as a Top 10 Retailer and setting the trend for music stores in South Africa. He spent some time with WWE as Sales Director, where he represented many international publishers including Eagle Vision, Eidos, Atari, THQ and Sega.

Mark Bennett – Sales Director
Mark also has extensive music and entertainment experience. In 1982 he started Shifty Records which quickly became South Africa's largest independent label. He purchased Top 40 and Jive Magazines in 1993, and in 1996 opened the first specialist retail outlets to target emerging markets. Mark joined Vestacor in 1999 to pioneer boutique music bars in retail fashion outlets, and three years later joined Look & Listen as General Manager where he opened the first specialist urban retail chain.

Both Brian and Mark have strong and well-established relationships with all the leading music and entertainment retailers in Southern Africa.
